When insurance premiums soar ...

Global aviation insurance has been experiencing unprecedented turmoil for the past 18 months.

After 15 years of stagnation or even decline, insurance premiums are undergoing a major global correction. Increases of 10 to 300% are affecting the entire aviation industry: business aviation, MRO (workshops), airlines and helicopters. Light aviation is also strongly affected ...

The growing loss of flying and maintenance experience is the outcome of reduced flying hours, which unfortunately leads to more incidents and accidents due to piloting errors... But also, insurers who have withdrawn from the aviation sector resulting in a de facto limited competition, due to limited choices.

Normally, without claims, the natural increase in the insurance premium is between 10 and 30%. Adding to that, incidents, accidents, even the advanced age of the pilot and the insurer can simply refuse to insure you.

In the room, opening of the debriefing software ...

More than 100 parameters are available, classified by category: trajectory, motor, airframe, indicator lights, position of controls, audio recording, etc. Your instructor selects with you the most interesting to analyze your flight. Even automatic synchronization with Video is possible, to review your flight in the sky, recorded by a FHD/4K Camera. (Option within APIBOX).

Your screen is divided into 3 areas: on the left, the selected parameters; at the top right your trajectory (in 2D or 3D as desired), at the bottom right your data curves. A 4th zone can integrate the video of the cockpit (option). With your mouse, point to the location of the curve that interests you and carry out the analysis together by comparison with the other parameters.

Examples: check the magneto tests, check the safety altitude above a restricted area; compare the vario in descent with the corresponding reduction in power, speed and position of the controls. Conclusion: was the start-up procedure well done? Have the air traffic rules been observed? Was the phraseology fluid and mastered? Was the the communication with ATC fluid and well mastered? Was there over piloting of the aircraft due to turbulence on approach to the ground? etc.

Each indication compared to the others allows you to efficiently analyze your flight for a better awareness of the situation and a constant improvement of your piloting. You can even share your experience at home with your loved ones via personal access to the debriefing software.

Clubs that own aerobatic planes say THANK YOU!

APIBOX has been making a lot of people satisfied in aerobatics and normal flights.

A few years ago, the supplier of the PGM1212 electronic accelerometer, essential on an aerobatic aircraft, went out of business.
As a result, clubs that own aerobatic aircraft have no longer been able to perform the necessary maintenance on their accelerometer.

However, the alternative has been found. APIBOX! It even allows you to connect and use the PGM1212 display. APIBOX approved on PILATUS PC6

iAero has obtained EASA approval to install the latest version of APIBOX on PILATUS PC6.

As a reminder, this latest version integrates satellite tracking of the aircraft, GSM transmission of flight data, management of anomalies and flight controls position.
